Terms and Conditions
These terms explain how you may use REGUP, including free vehicle checks, paid digital reports, custom checks, smart keys, workshop/GMS tools and checkout.
REGUP uses DVLA and DVSA source data where available and trusted provider data for premium checks. REGUP does not claim to be DVLA, DVSA or GOV.UK.
Important digital report notice
By purchasing a paid vehicle report, you agree that report generation may begin shortly after payment. Once report data has been retrieved or made available, cancellation/refund rights may be limited because the digital service has been supplied.
1. Who REGUP is
REGUP provides UK vehicle lookup tools, paid digital vehicle reports, smart key/keyring products, customer portal features and workshop/GMS services.
Vehicle data may use DVLA and DVSA source data where available, trusted data providers and customer-entered information.
2. Free vehicle checks
Free checks may show basic vehicle information such as registration details, MOT/tax information or other available preview data. Free results are not a full history report and may not include finance, write-off, stolen, valuation, mileage or other paid data points.
3. Paid digital reports and Custom Check Builder
- Paid reports are digital products generated from available source and provider data.
- Custom Check Builder orders include only the checks selected at checkout unless upgraded later.
- You are responsible for checking that the registration number is correct before purchase.
- Reports may be delivered online, by email and/or as a PDF where available.
- Vehicle images may not always be available from source data. REGUP may show a representative fallback instead.
4. Data source limitations
Vehicle data can be delayed, missing, unavailable or incomplete because it depends on DVLA/DVSA availability, provider availability, source records and the vehicle's history. A clear result means no issue was returned in the selected source data; it is not a guarantee that no issue exists.
5. No advice
REGUP reports are information checks only. They are not legal, financial, mechanical, valuation, insurance or buying advice. You should inspect the vehicle, review paperwork, consider an independent inspection and make your own decision before buying.
6. Smart keys, keyrings and workshop/GMS portal
Smart key/keyring services may use QR/NFC links, customer portal data and workshop-managed records. Workshops are responsible for the accuracy of records they enter, customer communications they send and how they use REGUP reports with their own customers.
7. Accounts and acceptable use
- Keep account details secure and provide accurate information.
- Do not scrape, copy, resell, overload, reverse engineer or misuse REGUP systems.
- Do not attempt to access another customer's report, workshop, account or payment record.
- We may suspend access where there is fraud, abuse, security risk or serious breach of these terms.
8. Payments, refunds and delivery
Payments are processed by Stripe or another configured payment provider. REGUP does not store full card details. Digital reports may start generating quickly after payment, so refunds may be limited once data has been retrieved or delivered. Physical products and mixed orders are handled under the Return/Refund Policy.
If a payment succeeds but an email fails, your order/report may still be available online. Contact support with your order or payment reference if needed.
9. Intellectual property
REGUP branding, website content, report layout, software, database structure and design are protected by intellectual property rights. You may use purchased reports for your own vehicle-checking purposes, but you must not copy, scrape, resell or create a competing service from REGUP content or systems.
10. Liability
We aim to provide clear and reliable services, but we cannot guarantee that every external data source will be available, complete or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Otherwise, REGUP is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect registrations, source-data limitations, third-party availability, vehicle purchase decisions or misuse of the service.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as REGUP changes. The current version is shown at the top of this page. For questions, contact contact@regup.co.uk.
