What does 5 mm mean?
The 5 mm measurement describes the raised acrylic character thickness, rather than the thickness of the entire plate. A 5 mm finish gives a deeper profile than 3 mm, making the side edges more prominent. Both have a glossy face. The preview lets you inspect the character profile before ordering.
Choose your plates and compare depths
Select a pair or a single front or rear plate. Choose only the sizes and finishes offered for your vehicle; some import layouts have a restricted finish list. Compare the 3 mm acrylic option or compare printed, 3D gel and 4D finishes.
Measure the mounting area and check the full registration layout before choosing a size. A smaller or shaped backing must still leave the required character sizes, spacing and margins. Available combinations are shown in the builder; the preview does not replace the manufacturing checks.
Road-use checks and ordering
Extra character depth does not change the required font, registration spacing or plate markings. The complete finished plate must comply with the official number plate display rules.
Road-use plates need evidence of your name and address and your entitlement to the registration. No account is needed to order. Pay securely, then follow your order link and its evidence instructions; further or original documents may be required. Production starts after payment and document approval.

Is 5 mm the thickness of the whole plate?
No. It describes the raised acrylic characters. The backing and the complete finished plate are separate from that character-depth measurement.
Is the 5 mm finish matt?
No. These acrylic characters have a glossy black face and raised edges.
Can I change the spacing on a road-use plate?
No. Road-use registrations must retain the correct character size, grouping and spacing. Decorative spacing is not a road-use option.
Can I buy a pair or just one plate?
