Two materials, one raised character
4D gel combines an acrylic base with a gel top. The acrylic creates defined depth at the edge and the gel gives the face a rounded, glossy surface. It differs from plain 4D acrylic, which has a flat polished face, and from the softer profile of 3D gel alone.
Choose the configured finish, not an assumed depth
Available depths and sizes depend on the actual catalogue selection. Do not assume that every 4D gel option is offered in both 3 mm and 5 mm. Check the finish shown in your configuration and order summary. You can also compare printed, 3D gel and 4D finishes.
Measure the mounting area and check the full registration layout before choosing a size. A smaller or shaped backing must still leave the required character sizes, spacing and margins. Available combinations are shown in the builder; the preview does not replace the manufacturing checks.

The delivery service, cost and full order total are shown before payment. Next-day services refer to delivery after dispatch, where available for the postcode. Same-day production depends on the working-day cut-off, payment, approved documents, stock and capacity. Ordering alone does not guarantee next-day arrival.

What is a 4D gel number plate?
It uses raised acrylic characters with a rounded gel top. The acrylic edge and gel face create a different profile from plain acrylic or gel alone.
Can I select 3 mm or 5 mm 4D gel?
Only depths explicitly offered for the selected finish are available. The separate 3 mm and 5 mm acrylic options do not mean both are available with a gel overlay.
Is the finish available for every plate size?
No. Availability depends on the vehicle, plate count, template and current catalogue settings. The builder limits choices to compatible configurations.
Do 4D gel plates need documents?
Yes. Road-use orders need proof of identity and entitlement to the registration before production, just like other road-use finishes.
